Emaar manages most buildings in Downtown, and they have stringent rules.
- The Rule: You cannot move a single box without a Move-In Permit. Security will turn our trucks away at the gate if this isn’t approved.
- The Process: You must register your tenancy contract (Ejari) on the Sakani portal (Emaar’s community management system) or the Emaar One app.
- Timing: Do not leave this until the moving day! Approval can take 24 to 48 hours. You must upload your passport, visa, and our (Chevron’s) trade license and insurance details. We provide these documents to you immediately upon booking.
2. The “Loading Bay” Height Trap
Downtown towers are designed for luxury cars, not giant moving trucks.

5. Visitor Parking is Scarce
If you have friends helping you move, warn them: Visitor parking in Downtown is notoriously tricky.
- Most residential towers have minimal visitor slots.
- Pro Tip: Advise friends to park in the Dubai Mall Cinema parking (P7) or Green Parking and walk over. It saves a lot of stress.
6. The “Noise” Factor
Downtown is vibrant, but it’s loud.
- Drilling Rules: If you need us to mount TVs or hang curtains, we must adhere to strict “noisy work” hours (usually 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays only). Security will stop any drilling outside these hours instantly.
